Planning Meeting 1
1-2 months after booking with Whispering Ridge | At this meeting, we will focus on your Primary Vendors, hotels, and cast the vision for your day.
Planning Meeting 2: Coordination
2-6 months before your wedding | At this meeting we will focus on wedding day logistics including event timelines & details and venue floor plans.
Planning Meeting 3: Final Meeting
30-45 days before your wedding | At this meeting we will finalize all venue and event coordination plans.
Final Phone Call
7-10 days before your wedding | During this call, we will touch base one more time to freshen up on wedding day details!

We only allow battery operated candles. Many styles are available to you in our decor closet! With written approval, we may allow real floating candles, candle sand, and tea light candles.
*Real flame taper candles/candlesticks are never allowed.

We strictly follow NC ABC laws. See Alcohol Policy section for more details.
Only designated bartenders and venue staff are permitted behind the bar at any time. The bar will remain locked when not in service.
Whispering Ridge clients are responsible for stocking the bar.
Bar service is permitted only during the designated event hours.
No glass allowed! Alcohol in glass containers must be poured into cups before serving.
“Last calls” are not permitted. Bartenders may place a sign at the bar notifying guests of the bar’s closing time.
If liquor is served, bar service must end 1 hour before the end of the event.
If beer and wine is served, bar service must end 30 minutes before the end of the event.
At the end of service, bartenders are responsible for packing up all
remaining alcohol, draining coolers, and removing all bar-related trash.
A printed policy is posted in the Caterers Kitchen and the Silo Bar.

All wedding party members, guests, and all attendees to follow all applicable North Carolina state laws, including the legal drinking age of 21 for the possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, and spirituous liquors).
Vendors are not permitted to consume alcohol at any time during their contracted hours.
The use, possession, or distribution of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited unless expressly permitted by Whispering Ridge.
Only malt beverages (beer) and unfortified wine are permitted to be served at events unless the client received written approval by WRF and a NC Special Occassion Liquor Permit.
The consumption of alcohol in any unapproved area—whether outside or away from the venue—is not allowed, regardless of the guest’s age.
All alcoholic beverages must be served exclusively by the permitted onsite bartender(s). All alcoholic beverages must be served in open containers and as single servings.
Cash bars are prohibited under North Carolina state law.

We recommend applying at least 2 months prior to your event. (Your permit is due to WRF during your final meeting or 30 days prior).

A marriage license is only valid for 60 days. Obtain your license 30-60 days before your wedding day.
Visit your local Register of Deeds Office: Open Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30pm
What to bring:
$60 cash (or a personal checkbook)
Both drivers licenses and social security cards
